Pitch perfect
Every first Friday of the month, you can sing your heart out at First Friday Karaoke at Longevity Wines in Livermore. Choose your favorite music and step into the spotlight from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Admittance is free, and Longevity’s broad selection of wines, as well as food truck fare, are available for purchase. Romantic trolley ride
If love is in the air for you on Valentine’s Day, Livermore Wine Trolley’s Valentine’s Romance Wine Tour could be your perfect date. From 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14 and 15, the Livermore Wine Trolley will take participants on a tour to taste the area’s incredible wine and food. Enjoy award-winning wines, games for couples, and a three-course dinner. Tickets cost $140.99 per person and are available on the Livermore Wine Trolley website.
Friend zone
For the singles taking a Valentine’s Day weekend trip with friends, McGrail Vineyards and Winery in Livermore is hosting the Palentine’s Day Party. On Saturday, Feb. 15, a DJ will play popular throwback songs for guests in the Barrel Room and Vineyard Patio from 12 to 3 p.m. Enjoy local wine and food from the Brunch in a Box food truck. The event is free, with food and drinks available for purchase.
Wine tasting
If you’re in town the week after but want to explore McGrail, you’ll be just in time for the Holy McGrail Quarterly Wine Club Release Party on Saturday, Feb. 22 and Sunday, Feb. 23. With two sessions available each day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., attendees will be among the first to sample five of McGrail’s newly released wines.
This tasting event is free for Wine Club members. Tickets for the public cost $25 per person and $5 for non-drinkers or those under 21 years old. Tickets are available from Tock.
Laugh a little
Tri-Valley visitors looking to close out the month with a comedy show can enjoy attending Rita Rudner’s set on Friday, Feb. 28 at 8 p.m. at Livermore’s Bankhead Theater. Known for combining sweetness with biting observations, Rudner is among the longest-running Las Vegas comedians. Tickets are available from the Livermore Valley Arts website and are $65 to $95.
