Explore the wildflowers and stroll into May in downtown Pleasanton
California’s Tri-Valley region is a beautiful place to visit in the spring. Rolling hills come alive with color from wildflower blooms, and the sunny weather makes it a bright, cheery place to get away for a while.
If you’re looking to vacation in Northern California and need accommodation for your Tri-Valley trip, The Rose Hotel in Pleasanton will make your stay as peaceful as possible. The intimate design is inspired by boutique-style European hotels.
Our cozy offerings embrace the small-town atmosphere of the Tri-Valley with a focus on attention to detail. It’s one of the reasons we’ve maintained a 4 Diamond rating for years. During your time here, check out some of the top events in the Tri-Valley area going on in April 2024.
Fresh, local produce
While we are big champions of the Pleasanton Farmer’s Market that is open every Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. year-round, it’s one of several in the area that features home-grown produce. The Dublin Farmers’ Market at Dublin’s Emerald Glen Park every Thursday from April 4 to Sept. 26, except July 4. Running from 4 to 8 p.m., the market brings together locals selling produce, baked goods, honey, pasta and more.
Every First Thursday has a themed night, and April 4’s theme was Multicultural Night. However, the recent storms forced a postponement. Multicultural Night is now set for April 25. The event will feature performing arts, martial arts demonstrations, community organization booths and more from local groups. Bring your family and friends and enjoy the night for free.
High art with high school cabaret
‘Put Another Dime In,’ presented by the Firehouse Arts Center’s talented High School Music Collaborative, is the perfect outing for a Friday night. Experience the magic of Broadway’s jukebox musicals through unforgettable performances of hits spanning the ’80s to today. The musical is at 7:30 p.m. at Firehouse Arts in Pleasanton. Tickets are $10.
Corgi Con comes to fairgrounds
If you’re a dog lover, you’ll want to be in Pleasanton on April 20, when Stumpy Con comes to town at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Presented by Corgi Con, the event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers a day for those who love short dogs to meet each other and bring their fur babies for an outing.
Those who don’t have a dog to bring are also welcome to attend and enjoy family-friendly activities and the variety of wagging tails around. Tickets are available on the Alameda County Fairgrounds website for $5 to $10, and parking is $15 to $25. Admission will also be available at the gate for a higher cost.
