California’s Tri-Valley July Events Make a Great Vacation at the Rose Hotel
July marks the birth month of the U.S., and Pleasanton, California’s Tri-Valley location makes it a great place to celebrate all things Americana. Our small-town charm and quiet pace of life harken back to a simpler time in America, one with friendly family-owned businesses.
The Rose Hotel embraces this friendly service and tranquil charm to provide the perfect place to stay for a July visit to the Tri-Valley area. Located in historic downtown Pleasanton, the Rose Hotel offers European-style boutique lodging. With our intimate size and careful attention to detail on every aspect of a guest’s stay, our atmosphere makes a great place to recharge in between your vacation activities.
Do you remember when rock was young when you had so much fun? If you miss those days, check out Elton John – The Early Years on July 14 at Wente Vineyards in Livermore. The show features Kenny Metcalf’s Elton John Tribute Show performing the international legend’s early hits from the 1960s and 1970s in a serene vineyard setting.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. on the concert lawn. Bottles of wine are available for purchase, and food trucks will offer guests a variety of food options. Purchase tickets for $50 per person, and each includes a glass of wine.
On July 15 and 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, experience an outdoor art celebration at Alden Lane Nursery’s Art Under the Oaks. Located in Livermore, Alden Lane will host about 40 local artists and musicians to show off their work for the public to enjoy at this free event. Nearby wineries will also have tastes for guests to try, and vendors will have food and drinks available as well.
And since July is all about baseball, hotdogs, and ice cream, have you heard about the Tri-Valley Ice Cream Trail? It’s a year-round treat, but especially refreshing in the summer. There are multiple participating ice cream shops in the area, and if you take a picture while visiting at least five and submit the photos to the Visit Tri-Valley website, you earn yourself a stainless-steel ice cream scooper. Start your tour in Pleasanton at Meadowlark Dairy, and then visit any of six others in Pleasanton, three in Danville, three in Livermore, and one in Dublin.
Or, perhaps a wine tour is more to your “taste.” Our Lobby Bar offers a 2019 Petite Sirah from the Madden Ranch Vineyard in Livermore Valley. Purchase this Madden-family vintage in a 750 ml bottle.
If you’re feeling more adventurous, we are particularly fond of the Livermore Wine Trolley, but it is only one of many options to sightsee and visit areas of interest in the Tri-Valley. Visitors can rent upscale limos through Black Tie Transportation Wine & Brew Tours or go military with the Rubino Estate’s Duck Tour in a converted WW2 Duck Boat. There’s always Ruby Hill’s Mello Cielo Bus, with its barrel seats and vintage style. Learn more about local tours here.
When you’re ready to retire for the day and recharge for the next day’s activities, the Rose Hotel awaits. Our relaxing atmosphere is in demand and has limited availability, so call to book your July stay with us today!
